As part of the project “From her for her: Expanding survivor-centered models of combating gender-based violence”, Melissa: Network of Migrant Women in Greece and Cyclisis are organizing a two-day experiential workshop in Patras on the survivor-centered approach to gender-based violence.

🎯 Addressed to: Representatives of formal and informal institutions, including migrant communities and feminist groups, field professionals, and students from Patras and the wider Prefecture, who wish to delve deeper into the topic of preventing and combating gender-based violence, through a survivor-led approach.
📚 In the training you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the principles of the survivor-led approach through experiential activities and case studies. The content will be adapted to the needs and background of the group, while, for better assimilation of the material, individual coaching will be provided by the trainers after the two-day course, for questions or the need for consultation regarding incidents.

The project “From her, for her: Expanding survivor-led approaches” is implemented under the PREVENT programme, by Melissa: Network of Migrant Women in Greece and the implementing partner Cyclisis. The PREVENT programme (“Preventing gender-based violence and violence against children”) aims to prevent and combat gender-based violence and violence against children by supporting civil society organizations (CSOs) in Greece and Cyprus that are active in these fields, while also strengthening their knowledge, capacity, and sustainability. PREVENT is co-funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, the Bodossaki Foundation, and the NGO Support Centre, with a total grant amount of €2.3 million.
